Can I get your #conlanging #conlang opinion?
Do you think pairing valid secondary pronunciations of vowels would be helpful or just make things more confusing? i.e. pronounce /ə/ as /æ/, /ʊ/ as /u/, and /ɛ/ as /e/.
My bet would be confusing, but maybe allowing for the flexibility would be helpful?
Maybe could add additional meaning/emotion to words so people can choose how they want to express themselves in slightly more specific ways? Then again that would probably definitely be confusing...

For the purpose of your language being easy for young children I feel like that might be confusing, on the other hand I wouldn't rule out the possibility of the language evolving to have those features
